any crime is free from consequence
when forgiveness is so cheap
freedom is given to give in
as long as when your begging on your knees
your plea is genuine
so when your made to believe in the make believe
how do you know what is real,
eyes stay closed, so vulnerable,
fear does the most powerful things
none stronger than the fear of not knowing where your going
so we made this shepherd for the human herd
your faith gives life a false meaning
devoted to one of many foolish theory's
you need to believe in something real,
every faith is just a different door to the same place,
if we forgive ourselves for our history of cruelty
why cant the all mercy-full let go of his grudge
so many think they have the answers,
no matter how arrogant your faith no one really knows
where we came from or where we are going
but we're crippled by this fear of not knowing
so we made this shepherd in our heads
trying to find a life after death
